Scott McCellan: George Bush is a Dumbass. No, really?
Well, I need a place to blog and 360 isn't doing it for me anymore. Blogger doesn't have the features and community though. I'm not happy with any of the choices out there. When 360 worked, it was the best.
So anyway, some things I've wanted to blog about.
Hillary Clinton is single handedly destroying the Democratic Party. She needs to bow out gracefully, because at this point she really only is in it for herself. She's not thinking about what's best for the country - making sure a Democrat wins, even if it isn't her. I'm furious that Florida and Michigan delegates are being seated, even at half the votes. People are organizing? Why didn't they organize AGAINST moving up their primaries before they were held? Break the rules and then throw a fit when you're held accountable, just to get what you want? Spoiled brat. With that attitude, I'm sure the Republicans would welcome her into their party with open arms. Maybe she should consider a switch, since she seems to think she's entitled to the nomination. Isn't that how Republicans choose their candidates? Right of ascension?
Then, there's Scott McClellan's book. Granted, I haven't read it. I'm commenting only based on what I've read ABOUT it. But in my opinion, Scott's still on the job. Still on the Republican payroll. He's just shifted his focus to damage control. It doesn't sound like the book tells us anything that anyone who's been paying attention doesn't already know. And that seems to imply that HE wasn't paying attention either. I don't buy it. It just sounds like more spin to me, as if Bush is just incompetent instead of responsible. What I don't understand is how the Republican party keeps managing to put forth bumbling incompetent candidates (only revealed in hindsight) when they're so damned convinced of their own intellectual superiority? They know what they're doing when they select their candidates. They aren't fooled by anyone, George Bush included. Incompetence is a convenient scapegoat. George Bush's image is as finely crafted as Ronald Reagan's was.
